Written By: Ben Drury

It's that time of the year when everyone is getting in the holiday spirit and people begin shopping for gifts for their loved ones. But what gifts do runners want? Today, I will be talking about a list of gifts that would be perfect for runners these holidays.

The first item on this list is...

The COROS Pace 3: Eliud Kipchoge Edition

This watch like its namesake is one of the best in the world and is made to be fast and to make you faster. This watch is a special edition of the running technology brand COROS' lead GPS running watch, the Pace 3. According to COROS' website, it is for multi-sport athletes who train hard and move fast. This watch features next-generation optical heart rate and SpO2 sensors. Some of its other features include a breadcrumb navigation system to help keep you on track, dual-frequency GPS, and you can also listen to your favorite music on a run with its built-in audio support. This edition watch's price is $249 compared to the standard edition which costs $229.

Nike Alphafly 3 Proto

This shoe like its two predecessors, is one item that every runner wanting to run fast wants. Unlike the two previous versions of the alphafly, this version is the lightest of them all. Along with being light it also has a ZoomX midsole that allows for more cushion when you make an impact with the road. Air Zoom units help return your energy to you with every step you take, which it has. Next, it has a wider carbon-fiber Flyplate that gives you a stable and propulsive ride, and the midsole and outsole are now connected fully for transitions that are now improved. Unfortunately, these shoes have not yet been released, but once they do, they will be a great gift at $285.

Whoop 4.0

The Whoop 4.0 is the newest product by one of the top brands in the health and fitness industry, Whoop. Whoop a somewhat newer company to the personal health scene, just being founded in 2012, has brought a whole new light to the improvement of athletes' health and fitness. The fourth Whoop band the 4.0 is wearable much like a watch. The 4.0 unlike its predecessors is smaller and smarter, it also has new biometric tracking, including skin temperature, and blood oxygen. Another feature the 4.0 has is sleep tracking, it tracks your sleep's four stages, slow wave sleep (SWS), REM, light, and awake. It also tracks your strain, your strain is how much your body is affected by your activities. Finally, two of its other good features are a stress monitoring feature and it helps monitor your recovery. Unlike, the prior objects on this list, you don't pay for the Whoop 4.0, you pay for the membership for all the data it provides. Currently, Whoop is having a 10 percent off sale and for a 24-month membership it will cost $359.10, and for an annual membership, it will cost $215.10.

Strava Subscription

The last item on this list and the most budget-friendly of them all, is the Strava subscription. Strava is a website and app made for tracking your activities, and performances while allowing you to share them with your friends with an interface a lot like other popular social media platforms. Strava from your first download is free, but to unlock the best features you must pay for the subscription. The subscription puts all of your training in one place, charts your progress with unique analysis tools, and gives you an interactive record of your activities. Along with that, It also lets you compete against other people's attempts on certain segments. Finally, the subscription lets you set custom goals whether they're time, distance, or performance-based, it allows you to track your progress toward reaching them. The annual membership costs $79.99, and the monthly subscription is $11.99 a month.
